Description

Our afternoon workshops are supplemental learning sessions to your child's education, as we add geography and history to our art classes. You can expect that your child will learn history AND make art during our studio sessions.

Our curriculum is designed and taught by Anna (MFA) and Juan Carlos Donado (PhD in Philosophy).

Our students work diligently through journal work, guided diorama projects, occasional free build time, drawing exercises, and memorization work to aid in their comprehensive learning of their cultural studies. Most of our students have been with us for years, as a continual Goose Grease schedule adds to their early education and developmental understanding of the world.

While making art + learning history, we also maintain a high standard of manners and behavior, focused on growing smart and respectful students -- young leaders that can hold intelligent conversations and be a beacon in their community, respecting all persons, cultures, and religions.

See FAQs for what to expect in our classroom studio.

This Fall, our Monday class will explore Roman Mythology and learn the foundations of GG art-making through basic diorama building.

Our older students in the Tuesday class will focus on art foundations and building a portfolio, making mostly 2D works. This class is heavily focused on drawing lessons.

Our Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday class will  learn about Medieval Ireland and Celtic Literature. We will begin with a month of geography review. We will then discuss the history of Ireland, focusing on medieval times, and we will build a portion of King John's castle.

Our classes include pickup from Brooklyn Arbor. Pickup from 132 happens on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

See our Policies page for more info.
